Staff -

Mrs J Gilfillan  Room 32

Art & Design Senior Help Session on Wednesdays from 3.45-4.30pm, also every lunchtime in room 32.

The final deadline for all work is 24th March.

Art and Design is a subject area that seeks to encourage diversity and not conformity. Creative thinking, creative approaches to problem solving and the ability to make informed critical judgements will help develop skills directly relevant to the challenges facing young people today.

Students will be involved in

Expressive Activity – Expressing their own ideas, thoughts and feelings.

Design Activity – Developing their ability to generate creative solutions to design opportunities.

Critical Activity – Learning to critically evaluate the work of other designers and artists and to research, develop and communicate an informed opinion.

These skills will be of benefit to all students regardless of their chosen route of learning in school.
