The school library is part of the Scottish Borders Council library network and is open every school day from 8.45am – 3.45pm.
The librarian is Mrs Thomson, who is available to help and advise pupils on books and other resources to support curricular subjects and recreational reading.
We hold approximately 10,000 resources available to staff and pupils in a variety of formats.
Our goal is to prepare students to ‘learn how to learn’ and carry these skills into other areas of their lives so that they can be independent seekers and consumers of information throughout their lives.
We aim to provide a unique and stimulating learning environment where pupils can access a wide range of good quality information.
We aim to develop literacy skills and ethical use of information, while promoting the enjoyment of reading, for learning and life.
